Supporting People
What is Supporting People?
Supporting People is a Government initiative, which started in April 2003. It introduced new arrangements for housing related support services for vulnerable people that help them to maintain or improve their ability to live independently.
It is a partnership involving the NHS Care Trust, the Council and the National Probation Service together with organisations from the voluntary, charitable, statutory and private sectors, and users and carers.
